Overall, I think this is a great product for getting blonde hair without needing to bleach. I used this dye about a month ago at this point, and although my roots are starting to show a little bit, the overall color has not faded, which is great. I don’t think the shimmer lights really did anything to adjust the color. It has grown on me though! This product contained a standard color care conditioner as well as a “shimmer lights” conditioner for toning. I was not expecting a platinum blonde since I got the bronze version instead of blonde, but the color did turn out to be warmer and more of a strawberry blonde than what I was hoping for. Sometimes it can be hard to fully saturate and not miss any strands when you’re dying your hair yourself, but I was able to get pretty even all over color. Application of the dye was very similar to other hair dyes I’ve used in the past. I think this Clairol Blonde It Up dye is a great option to lighten hair without having to use bleach. No hair fall AWESOME and my hair actually feels better than before I used it! I will most definitely be able recommending it to anyone who will listen. The roots actually looked more natural, for bleached hair, than what I have been doing for more than 20 years. The color on the chick on the box was not Platinum Blonde in my book or even close. Well I usually keep my hair platinum, almost silver, so when I received the Clairol Blonde it Up, Platinum Blonde, I was worried. Rinse eyes immediately if product comes into contact with them.
